The Anguilla Reliable Team (ART) has launched its campaign for the upcoming general election under the theme ‘Lead with love’.
In a statement announcing the campaign on 26 January, the political party said progress is best realised when the people’s lives reflect the state of the economy and infrastructural development.
“The people cannot be left in financial ruin and we boast of progress. The people cannot become a welfare state depending on government handouts while we boast of progress,” the party said.
“The true indicators of progress is the ability of the everyday people to live everyday, taking care of their needs everyday.”
Anguilla’s general election will take place on 26 February with advance polls on 25 February, giving candidates just one month to secure voter support.
