The Anguilla Football Association (AFA) in collaboration with FIFA hosted a week of fun activities in celebration of World Football Week.
From 21 to 25 May, the island’s sporting community united to honour the global spirit of football, an AFA press release said on 28 May.
Under the theme ‘Feel the passion. Feel the vibes. It’s World Football Week 2025!’, the AFA delivered a dynamic lineup of events including matches, lives interviews, presentations and a trip overseas.
AFA technical director Colin Johnson said: “We are proud to have partnered with FIFA in delivering a meaningful celebration that reflects our love for football and our community’s vibrant spirit.
“This week has reminded us of the joy and power that football brings, and we are excited to build on this momentum.”
Week in review
21 May – Feelin’ the Vibes (Match day and live interviews)
The celebrations kicked off in style with an exciting local match and live on-site interviews, creating a spirited match day experience filled with community engagement and football fever.
22 May – Women’s Corner Radio Show (Radio Anguilla)
A powerful evening on air highlighted the voices of women in football, celebrating their contributions and paving the way for greater inclusivity in the sport.

23 May – Trip to St Barts
Young talent from the Technical Development Squad (TDS) embarked on an enriching football trip to St Barts, where they represented Anguilla with skill and pride in friendly international competition.
24 May – Football for Schools presentations
AFA’s grassroots efforts continued with inspiring presentations at ACES and Superstars football academies.
These promoted FIFA’s Football for Schools initiative and encouraged youth participation in a structured and fun environment.
25 May – Masters’ Sunday Classic (AFA Turf Field)
The week wrapped up with the highly anticipated Masters’ Sunday Classic, as veteran players laced up once more to celebrate the love of the game.
