The Anguilla Football Association (AFA) has donated 20 high-quality footballs to each of its member clubs and teams to support the development of the sport across the island.
The giveaway on 6 November, led by project coordinator Germain Hughes, was part the association’s Club Assistance Programme (CAP).
“This investment goes beyond equipment, it’s a strategic effort to elevate the standard of training across the island,” the AFA said in a press release on 17 November.

The distribution of the footballs is intended to enhance the quality of practice sessions, stimulate stronger player development, and contribute to a more competitive and successful season for all clubs involved.
“We were pleased to have club representatives and team members present during the handover,” the AFA said.
“Their engagement underscored the significance of this initiative and highlighted our shared commitment to strengthening football within our community.
“The presence of so many dedicated individuals serves as a reminder that progress in the sport is truly a collective effort.”
The AFA said it is committed to working with its clubs and ensuring they have the tools and support to foster a vibrant, sustainable and highly competitive football environment in Anguilla.
“This initiative marks another step forward in our continued mission to grow the game and empower those who play, coach and support it,” the association said.
The AFA, founded in 1990, is the governing body of football in Anguilla, overseeing the development of the sport, organising domestic leagues and managing the national teams.
