Police arrested and later released one person linked to the murder of a 33-year-old man outside Anguilla Courthouse.
Royal Anguilla Police Force published a statement on Monday, 22 July, in which it said it is continuing to investigate the “tragic mid-morning shooting” that left one man dead.
“We have arrested a person in connection with this incident who has since cooperated fully with our investigation,” it read.
“After thorough questioning and examination, this individual has been discharged and is no longer considered a person of interest in this murder case.”
A man from Bad Cox Pond was shot and killed at about 10.40am on 19 July in a vehicle outside the court, which he was due to attend that morning.
The statement said the investigation remains active and ongoing, and urged anyone with information to come forward.
“Your assistance is vital in helping us bring those responsible to justice and ensuring the safety of our community. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation,” it read.
