Man, 29, recovering after Saturday shooting in Island Harbour

A man from The Keys is recovering from a gunshot wound after a shooting in Island Harbour on Saturday, 8 February, police have confirmed.

Officers received a report of shots fired near St Andrew’s Anglican Church at about 5.45pm, a Facebook post from the Royal Anguilla Police Force said.

“We can confirm that a 29-year-old male from The Keys, Island Harbour, sustained a gunshot wound. He sought medical attention and is currently recovering,” the post said.

Police are actively investigating the incident, and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The incident comes a day after a man was shot dead in The Farrington on the evening of Friday, 7 February.

Police confirmed that was the first recorded homicide in Anguilla for 2025. Six homicides were recorded in 2024, and charges have been brought in one case.
