Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association welcomes new CEO

The Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association has appointed Cherecia Lewis as its new chief executive officer.

With over 15 years of experience across various sectors, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organisation.

In a press release announcing the appointment on 14 January, Lewis expressed her enthusiasm for the new role.

“Anguilla’s tourism sector is integral to the island’s economy, and I am excited to work closely with our members and partners to build on the foundation of excellence that has been established,” she said.

“Together, we will create new opportunities to showcase Anguilla’s unique charm and hospitality regionally and internationally.”

Lewis’ career spans the banking, hospitality, and real estate industries, where she has held a range of leadership and strategic roles.

These include public relations officer, marketing and business development officer, marketing experiences and sales coordinator, villa specialist and marketing and PR manager.

In addition to her corporate experience, she has also worked as a marketing consultant, developing and executing effective marketing strategies for clients in diverse industries.

Lewis holds a bachelor’s degree with honours in Marketing from Florida International University.

Her extensive background in marketing, public relations and business development has equipped her with the skills needed to lead the association, the press release said.

It added that her vision and expertise will help drive sustainable growth, strengthen member relations and further promote Anguilla as a premier travel destination.

First established in 1981, the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association is Anguilla’s largest and oldest trade association with a growing membership representing the island’s tourism industry.
