The Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) said on 8 July that it had launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

A subsequent Facebook statement on 10 July said a dedicated team of investigators continues to examine the incident in detail.

It added that in accordance with policy, investigators from the BVI have been invited to review the investigation and will arrive in the coming days.

“We would like to reassure the public once again that the RAPF is committed to maintaining transparency, public confidence, and trust in all our investigative processes,” the statement said.
