“Her extensive banking and financial services experience, strategic leadership capabilities and proven track record of delivering results across both regional and international markets will be valuable as NCBA enters its next phase of growth and transformation,” she said.
“The board looks forward to working closely with Christine and the entire NCBA team to strengthen the bank, improve performance and continue building an institution that serves the long-term interests of our customers, shareholder and the people of Anguilla.”
Rochester’s banking career began at Scotiabank Jamaica and RBC Jamaica (now Sagicor Bank Jamaica), where she developed experience in commercial banking, credit, relationship management and leadership.
She spent five years as general manager of corporate and commercial banking at JMMB Bank in Jamaica, where she led significant growth in the corporate loan portfolio.
After that, she was vice president of commercial banking at JP Morgan Chase, providing banking solutions to corporate, public sector and non-profit clients.
Rochester also served as a fractional chief financial officer, helping a healthcare business strengthen financial performance and operational efficiency, the press release said.
Before joining the NCBA, she was managing director of investments and client engagement with the Minority Business Accelerator in Cincinnati.
She managed a private equity investment portfolio and structured funding solutions for middle-market companies across six US states.
Rochester holds a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance, with a minor in Human Resource Management, from Northern Caribbean University.
The new CEO has also completed all sections of the CPA examination and has undertaken advanced training in banking, credit, leadership and treasury management.
She has served on several boards and works part-time as a mergers and acquisitions instructor, the press release said.
The board thanked Jerrick Evangelista, who served as interim CEO for about ten months before the latest appointment.
