Ca’Miyah Ksandra Hughes to represent Anguilla at Miss Caribbean Paradise Beauty

High school student Ca’Miyah Ksandra Hughes will be representing Anguilla at the first ever Miss Caribbean Paradise Beauty pageant in St Maarten this May.

The 12-year-old from South Hill who studies at Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School will join contestants from across the region for the inaugural event at Aleeze Convention Centre.

Ca’Miyah is not a stranger to pageants, having competed in the Miss Tiny Tott Pageant in 2023, where she earned the title of First Runner-Up and captured the Best Talent Award.

In August 2025, she went on to represent her school in the Prince and Princess Show, where she and her partner were crowned winners and also received the Best Talent Award.

In a biography for the contest, organisers described her as “vibrant and accomplished”, adding that her dream is to become a cosmetologist and her role model is Beyoncé.

“Known for her determination, confidence and positive spirit, she is a well-rounded young achiever who actively participates in volleyball, netball, football and track and field,” they wrote.

Beyond sports, Ca’Miyah expresses her creativity and discipline as a member of From Within Dance, the Black and Gold Track Club, and the Anguilla National Children’s Choir.

At her July 2025 graduation from Adrian T Hazell Primary School, she received numerous prestigious awards recognising her academic achievement, athletic excellence, leadership, character and helpfulness.

“With her strong work ethic, vibrant personality and commitment to excellence, Ca’Miyah continues to shine as a promising young leader and role model within her community,” organisers said.

Miss Caribbean Paradise Beauty celebrates girls from across the region aged eight to 12 and is held alongside the Little Miss Caribbean Blossom pageant, which features contestants aged five to seven.

They are both hosted by the Believe To Achieve Foundation with the aim of celebrating the new generation of Caribbean pageant queens.
